The tenth president of Dartmouth College, Ernest Fox Nichols was in office from 1909 to 1916. He was born in Leavenworth, Kan. in 1869. He received his BS from Kansas Agricultural College in 1888, his MS from Cornell University in 1893, and his ScD from Cornell in 1897.
